About the Role
Scale Mapping is looking for an experienced product manager to drive product development and expansion. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations to deeply understand target industries, take products from pain point to fully-deployed solution, and coordinate with the business unit leadership on roadmap strategy & priorities. You will be responsible for building the roadmap, driving execution, and using both qualitative customer and quantitative metrics & KPIs to guide decisions and measure success.
You will:
Drive execution of product projects by working with stakeholders and implementors.
Manage the team’s product development and planning process
Identify core problems and solutions throughout the product by talking to customers and understanding the need within a given industry
Think through both big picture implications and the small details of your decisions
Understand markets, competition, and customer/user requirements in depth
Turn ambiguous feedback and communications into clear, actionable plans
Balance competing interests diplomatically and open-mindedly while also ruthlessly prioritizing Scale's vision
Be empathetic in your approach to understanding customers, Scalers, and employees alike
Be precise in your communications and clear in your expectations in order to make the best use of your team's time
Obsess about constantly testing, disproving, and affirming product hypotheses to drive continuous improvement
Ideally You'd Have:
A demonstrated nose for what makes a great product
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
Unending energy in running through walls and making an impact.
Ability to take initiative and build productive working relationships.
2+ years of product management experience
Nice to haves:
1-2 years of product development experience
Experience in geospatial, autonomy, or related areas
The base salary range for this full-time position in our hub locations of San Francisco, New York, or Seattle, is $164,800-$206,000. Compensation packages at Scale include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Scale employees are also granted Stock Options that are awarded upon board of director approval. You’ll also receive benefits including, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO.
